Recreation Gymnastics
The Meadville Family YMCA offers gymnastic instruction for children beginning at one years of age. Instruction is designed to be safe, educational, and fun. All children are encouraged and expected to participate to their fullest potential.
Which class is right for my child? If you’re a curious parent our gymnastic instructors will assess the skills of individual gymnasts to determine which class is appropriate for their level. Our Gymnastics Center is located on the third floor of the Bill Lawrence Fitness Building at 940 Park Avenue in Meadville!
At the Y, everyone belongs and everyone has the opportunity to participate regardless of the ability to pay. Our donors and staff work and generously give to ensure that EVERYONE gets to have a Y experience. Please don’t hesitate to inquire about our financial assistance opportunities.
Ages 2 - 4 Buddy & Me
Buddy and me gymnastics is one of your baby’s favorite things. This is a special time of bonding and watching your little one grow and change everyday.
Classes use parent involvement and focus on exploration movement discovery. During class children and their buddies will do silly stretches, explore the gymnastics gym and equipment with their parents. The goal of the class is the allow the child and buddy the opportunity to work together and learn to work with a coach. The last week of our six-week session will be a skill showcase for all the family and friends to see.
