Childcare Director
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Manages, directs and coordinates the early learning programs for assigned location(s). Ensures
high quality programs and establishes new program activities. Expands program within the
community in accordance with strategic and operating plans.
2. Provides staff leadership for annual fund raising campaign and committees as assigned.
3. Maintains proper records/department files.
4. Provide support, cooperation and leadership to ensure compliance with government grants and
private foundation grants.
Pay: $35,000-$40,000

Membership Director
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Builds bridges within the community so that all segments of society have access to the Y.
- Manages the budgeting process
- Work with Director of Operations on financial development activities of the branches.
- Promotes program and membership enrollment in interactions with existing and potential members.
- Organizes membership events at the YMCA and represents the YMCA at community events to promote
the YMCA. - Directs branch strategic planning efforts and develops the annual operating plan of each branch along
with the Director of Operations. - Maintains diverse Membership Board Committee that actively support the Y’s goals and strategic plans.
Pay: $38,000-$44,000

Assistant Gymnastics Coach
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist the head coach with instructing students in the rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques of the sport.
- Organize and direct individual and small group practice activities/exercises as directed by the head coach.
- Assesses gymnast’s skills, monitors participants during competition and practice, and keeps the head coach informed of the athletic performance of students.
- Assists with strategy to conduct successful gymnastics meet.
- Know and review all emergency procedures and respond to emergency situations immediately in accordance with YMCA policies, procedures, and the “safe-in-six” model; complete related reports as required.
- Model sports-like behavior and maintain appropriate conduct towards students, officials, and spectators.
- Assist the head coach with submitting a list of award winners at the end of the season for the annual awards banquet. Also, must assist the head coach at parent orientation and registration.
- Perform support tasks such as distributing and maintaining eligibility forms, emergency data cards, and other related records.
- Attending staff development meetings, clinics, and other professional activities to improve coaching performance.
- Perform similar and related duties as assigned.
Pay: $10 – $10.39

Child Watch Aid
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Nurtures children through purposeful programming dedicated to building achievement and belonging
in youth and relationships among youth and within families.
2. Supervises the children and all activities including ADA accommodations where appropriate. Follows all
procedures and standards.
3. Cultivates positive relationships, and maintains effective communication with parents. Engages
parents as volunteers and connects them to the YMCA.
4. Maintains program site and equipment.
5. Maintains required program records.
6. Performs other duties as assigned.
Pay: $9 – $10
Location: Vernon Y
Hours: Part-Time 10-25 hours per week

Front Desk Staff
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Provides excellent service to members, guests, and program participants in the Y and on the phone, contributing to member retention.
2. Greet and welcome all members and guests as they enter the facility.
2. Set up membership accounts and prepares member records and handles registration/ enrollment transactions.
3. Register members for programs/classes and answers any and all membership related questions.
4. Conduct interviews and/or tours responsive to the needs of prospective members; sells memberships.
5. Builds relationships with members; helps members connect with one another and the YMCA. Facilitate member to member engagement.
Pay: $9 – $10
Location: Vernon Y & Downtown Y
Hours: Part-Time 10-20 hours per week
Schedule:
Vernon Y = Mondays and Wednesdays 2:00pm – 5:00pm with 1-2 Potential Saturdays 6:30am – 1:00pm (Back Up to Weekend Hours Available.)
Downtown Y = Mondays 12:00pm – 5:40pm, Thursdays 4:15pm – 8:00pm, Alternating Saturdays 6:30am – 12:00pm (Potential Friday Shift May Open.)
