Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support. *This is a CHAIR-ASSISTED class.

SilverSneakers Yoga will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of seated and standing postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.

Combine fun with fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Upper-body strength work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a SilverSneakers® ball is alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is offered for support, stretching, and relaxation exercises.

The class is a combination of cardio step routines and strength/core training. Don’t be intimated by step routines – the class is designed for all skill levels and intensity. In addition to the cardio, we incorporate free weights, stability ball, and resistance bands for core-strength training, coordination and balance for a total body workout. All the while – having fun!

BODYFLOW™ is the Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates workout that builds flexibility and strength and leaves you feeling centered and calm. Controlled breathing, concentration and a carefully structured series of stretches, moves and poses to music creates a holistic workout that brings the body into a state of harmony and balance. 

A Typical Class

Each class is made up of 45 minutes of simple but challenging exercises, followed by 10 minutes of relaxation and meditation.
  1. You will begin with easy, flowing Tai Chi moves to leave your day behind, center yourself and warm your body.
  2. The instructor will then take you through various yoga and Pilates sequences to strengthen and tone your key muscle groups. Poses and stretches are used to create suppleness and flexibility.
  3. The final 10 minutes are set aside for the widely acknowledged mental and physiological benefits of meditation, which also enhances the effects of the exercise.

RPM™ is a cycling workout that delivers maximum results with minimum impact on your joints.

Tune in to some great music and get your pedals spinning as your instructor takes you on a journey of hill climbs, sprints and flat riding. You control your own resistance levels and speed so you can build up your fitness level over time.

Born from the sport of cycle racing, RPM uses simulated climbs and sprints in a workout where you control the intensity

Exercising muscles around the core, CXWORX™ provides the vital ingredient for a stronger body. A stronger core makes you better at all things you do, from everyday life to your favorite sports - it’s the glue that holds everything together.

All the moves in CXWORX have options, so it’s challenging but achievable for your own level of fitness. During the 30-minute workout trained instructors guide you through correct technique as you work with resistance tubes and weight plates, as well as body weight exercises like crunches, and hovers. You will also get into some hip, butt and lower back exercises.

Spinning exercise or studio cycling is not only popular these days – it's an excellent form of fitness. Cycling helps strengthen your heart; and tone your glutes, calves, and thighs in addition to being a great exercise to slim the legs. The special spinning bicycle has a weighted flywheel in the front, making you feel more like you're riding on a real bicycle.

All Water Fitness Classes are included in your YMCA membership! Water workouts expend more energy than similar land-based exercises due to the water resistance. The average person burns 450-700 calories during one hour of aerobic exercise. Water exercise is perfect for people of all ages. 

Aqua Aerobics

This low-intensity water fitness class includes cardiovascular conditioning, muscular endurance and flexibility. Participants do not need to be able to swim.

Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays: 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.


Aqua Zumba is a new addition to the Zumba fitness phenomenon, and it’s making waves with Zumba’s 14 million fans in over 150 countries. Pulsating international beats along with Latin-inspired dance moves combine with aqua fitness to create a full body, low-impact workout. Classes are 45 minutes long and start with a warm-up intended to get the body ready for exercise. Then you move into a series of easy to follow dance moves choreographed specifically to each song. You’ll walk forward and back in the pool, step side to side, turn, kick and even hold a few moves for balance work. There are jumps, arm sequences and high knees all designed to get the heart rate going. You work all your muscles all the time, using the water’s resistance to build muscle.

Saturdays: 8:00 a.m. – 8:45 a.m.


A terrific deep water workout. Participants do not need to be able to swim as a floatation belt is used during the workout. Strengthen, tone and tighten your muscles; improve lung and heart capacities; refine balance and coordination as you perform these exercises. A great stress reliever. This is a medium to high-intensity water fitness class conducted completely in the deep end of the pool.

The perfect aerobic workout from beginner to advanced, even if you have never worked out in the water before. The large movements of the legs and arms provide the aerobic workout to burn fat and strengthen the cardiovascular system. Enjoy an invigorating workout in the water’s buoyant – nearly gravity free – exercise environment. This class incorporates deep and shallow water exercises; low-impact workouts including kicking and wall exercises, abdominal moves, upper-body resistance training and stretching. No swimming skills required.

Open for members to come and use the pool for individual exercise. An instructor is available for assistance and guidance.
