The objectives of Tae Kwon Do are to improve self confidence and self esteem; help to gain composure and self control; to improve concentration; to learn discipline and goal orientation; and to learn respect towards self and others.

This modern martial arts program is open to all individuals ages 6 - adult. It is characterized by fast, high and spinning kicks. Master Asa Williams teaches participants from beginner through advanced levels.

  • Master Williams is a certified 5th degree Master of Tae Kwon Do.
  • Master Williams has over 24+ years experience in Tae Kwon Do.
  • He has been teaching Tae Kwon Do for the past 20 years and has been teaching the past 9 years at the Meadville Family YMCA.
  • Master Williams holds a Bachelors degree in Education and has been teaching in the public schools for the past 13 years.

 

Master Williams teaches a traditional form of Tae Kwon Do.

Which means he teaches his students to better themselves, to practice for self-defense and personal well being rather than for fighting.

 

Class run on a 5 week Summer Schedule and Meet:

Wednesdays at the Downtown YMCA:

Beginner - 5:00pm-6:00pm

Intermediate and Advanced - 6:00pm - 7:30pm
