Parents and kids agree: when it comes to summer programs, nobody offers an experience like the Y.
Kids love the Y’s summer programs because they have fun and meet new friends. Parents love them because we provide a safe, educational environment for kids to develop new skills, build character and make memories that last a lifetime.
Day camps are age-specific and offer youths in the community with greater challenges every year. Activities revolve around weekly themes and include outdoor games, sports, swimming, craft projects, songs, skits and special events. Trips to local parks and highlight trips round out each week to provide campers with experiences they'll never forget! We are constantly looking for ways to improve your child's experience.

We have camps for children entering grades 1 through 7.
Children spend time with experienced staff who will lead them through a variety of activities outdoors and indoors each day. Traditional summer activities include instructional/recreational swimming, crafts, sports, nature, water fun, field trips and lasting friendships.
Additionally, the Y incorporates wellness into the day’s offerings. Children participate in fun, playful activities that teach basic knowledge on how to incorporate proper nutrition, exercise and positive self-image into their daily lives.
SUMMER OF 2017
Financial assistance may be available for working families who qualify through the Child Care Information Services. For more information, contact the CCIS office at (814) 337-8055.
It is the hope of the Meadville Family YMCA that no one be excluded from membership or programs due to an inability to pay. If you are in financial need, please complete a Helping Hands scholarship form available at the front desk. Funds made available for scholarships are provided by the Y’s Helping Hands Campaign and have been generously donated by staff, members and the community.
We believe that all kids deserve the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve. Like all Y programs, our ELA and Y Care programs are open to all. The YMCA accepts Child Care Information Services (CCIS) payments, and financial assistance is available for those who qualify.
