The Meadville Family YMCA is excited to team up with professional Mixed Martial Artist (MMA), Chris Araujo, to offer MMA-style classes for youth and adults alike!
Araujo's Self-Defense/Boxing-MMA-Kickboxing classes will be offered Mondays and Wednesdays starting March 20th.
Youth classes (ages 17 & under*) will be offered from 5:15-6:15 p.m. both days; adult classes (ages 18 & older) will be held from 6:25-7:25 p.m. both evenings.
Additionally, "open gym" trainings will be conducted each Saturday of the month. Youth open gyms will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m., with adult open gyms following from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Open gyms are free for current YMCA members and $5 per Saturday for nonmembers.
With the exception of March, all classes will run on monthly cycles (starting with the first Monday or Wednesday of each month).
For March, class fees for half of the month will be $15 for YMCA members and $25 for nonmembers. Beginning in April, a full month of class fees will cost $30 for YMCA members and $45 for nonmembers. Starting in April, if you are a current YMCA member, you are eligible to receive a 50% discount off of your registration fee the first month you register.
Free "teaser" classes will start soon, so check back or class the YMCA at 814.336.2196 after the 27th of February for more info!
A liability waiver must be signed prior to participating in any of Mr. Araujo's classes or open gyms.
